Re: Oh bugger
Had a French motorway toll ticket fly out an unzipped pocket a couple of years back, racing to catch the Caen ferry in the pouring rain. Lucky for me, my mate who was behind me took so long at the booth putting his gloves back on after taking his ticket, that the barrier came down and he had to take another ticket. Saved me a few Euro I can tell you. Shan't be making that mistake again. Lucky or what!

A lot of the bikers in France go through the barrier in a tightly packed group, so they only have to get and pay for one ticket.Spike941 wrote:Had a French motorway toll ticket fly out an unzipped pocket a couple of years back, racing to catch the Caen ferry in the pouring rain. I've done it and got away with it but you need to stop at the barrier and have a good look at the usual layby 200 yards up the road on the right and if there's a building there that could be manned or any cars around don't do it.
