roadtrip black forrest germany etc

Decided to have a 5 day trip away end of june.Want to go Black forrest for a couple of nights then come back different route and have last night in france about 150ish miles from calais.
Any suggested routes,accomadation recomendations, must do roads or places to visit and general info all great fully received.

I am headed this way in July. The B500 from Baden-Baden is supposed to be epic. Never been that way before so looking forward to other responses.

Also cross the Rhine, nearer to Freiburg and do the Vosges - around the Route des Cretes and the Grand Ballon in France, now they are really epic

Stay in Kaysersberg, just north of Colmar, to see Les Voges and Des Ballons national parks. Hotel Constantin in Kayserberg is top notch, there's also a decent municipal camp site in town. Just outside of Orbey is the WW1 site "La Ligne" with the trenches cut into the rock of the hill side, there's also a French military cemetery and ossuary nearby.

+1 for kayserberg stayed on the municipal campsite last year for a few days as stated great location.

Just got back from a trip through the black forest and into Switzerland.
Yes the 500 is good and should be warmer than we had last week with rain and snow every day!
We stopped in campsites that we found later in the day, there is loads of them, and eat out every evening.
There's a biker hotel in Bad Peterstal (spelling?) which seemed very popular, the food and beer was good and not silly prices like switzerland!
They also seem much better setup for bikers there and we always had a friendly welcome.

We landed at ijmuiden and traveled across to the Netherland/Belgian/German border and camped at a camp site near Stolburg, then next day through the National Park Eifel and past the Nurburgring. There's a biker cafe that does a good breakfast near Simmerath called Biker Ranch Eifel, you can see it on Google maps. We came across it by accident.
Camped near Baden Baden and through to Bad Peterstal and camped, then Freiburg.
All on the A roads and easy days with plenty of stops. We started looking for camp sites around 4pm, after that it starts to get a bit frantic unless you fall lucky. Probebly a good idea to have a map with all the sites on before you go.

Buy the relevant Michelin maps of the area, do the B500 then spend the rest of the time picking roads with a green border and enjoy yourself.

I've done the B500 a few times and prefer it going south to north for some reason but the one thing to remember is don't speed anywhere near villages, cafes or anywhere else likely to be used as a stopping place for the local police because the fines are horrendous and they love sitting at the side of the road listening for motorbikes.

The smaller roads in the area don't get as much traffic or police attention and you won't find yourself stuck behind a bloody great truck carting logs up the road which often frustrates you so much you pop past and get zapped by a cop with a camera just when you least wanted it.

Bad Peterstal is one my fav BF towns, usually stay at the Hotel Hirsch (just direectly opp the biker hotel, down a small lane) - bit quieter and better parking too, food is fab and there is the best cellar bar in town in the basement of the Hirsch
