Hi, any advice.
I arrive at Santander Sat 29 Mar 2014 17:30. I have need to be in Ronda by the 3rd at the latest.
So I will be riding solo, avoiding toll roads and staying West of Madrid any suggestions? Places to see? Things to do?

Re: Advice for slow ride through Spain......
Hi Dave, done that ride and back a couple of times in the last 10 years, but not quite that early in the year. The Picos mountains are a must if the weather's good, but late March could be wet and icy. Salamanca is a must to spend a night. Plenty of affordable accommodation. Head into the square for beer and food, and don't forget to take your camera. Head due south from there across Eastern Extremadura, making a B line for Ronda, and if you keep clear of the main roads you can't go wrong. Most of the small towns and some larger villages have cheap independent hotels. I'll be heading back up to Santander later that week, but in the car with the Misses and sticking to the motorways. You have a good trip.
