My wife and I our going to tour spain in september 2014.
We would like to do the moto gp at Aragon.
Arriving Santander second week in sept and returning first
week in October.
We would like to get to Andora and visit Barcelona as well as seeing some sunshine
and beeches.
Will be mostly camping with a few nights in b and b s
Any ideas on roads to ride routes b and b or campsites most welcome.
Cheers

Re: Spain
Good Luck - i think you will get many great suggestions.
one route, of sorts i would suggest (always) is rioja region, get to logrono and take the n111 south. a fantastic bed n break 15 kms just off the road at La Viguera (Turn left) (hose and sonya are patrons), ideal first note stop after docking from santander. (2.5-3 hours from santander whilst chilling) great viewing platform of red riojan canyons etc. next day route n111 head south to soria. half way along is a mountain pass 1800 metres, with a new tunnel avoiding it.
turn off before the tunnel and do the zig zags up n over the other side
What bikes you going on Canazei?
best wishes Corbs

I'm sure Simon will be along shortly to advise - he's the man when it comes to Spain.
+1 for the Soria region, there is a brilliant campsite in Vinuesa amongst a pine forest - very atmostpheric.
If not fully, you're heading towards 'out of season' so the campsites won't be so full. We did a 3000+ mile tour in October and were, sometimes, the only tent.
I know you want a bit of beech but my advice would be to stay away from the costas - in land, up in the mountains. Spain is full of amazing scenery and fantastic roads. Away from the coast and the cities it's empty. My opinion (for what it's worth) is you can fly to a beach resort for a week for peanuts, if you've got the bike(s) with you make the most of an amazing country.
Too many highlights this year - but Extramadura was amazing. Wherever you go enjoy.
