It's like saying I want a chair in a pub sanitised before I sit in it.

Where does the madness stop and common sense take over.
If you take a car out or a bike at a dealers, they wipe it down before you take it out

How do you mean riders will wear PPE ?

The virus can travel onto surfaces and under helmet visors
Ppe....you know. The stuff of your own that you wear on a bike. Gloves, helmet with visor. How is this any different than wearing a mask or one of those safety visors I see so many wearing.

Like I said commin sense.

A helmet won’t stop the virus ...will it?

And a mask will? Where are you going with this....

infact, same as Bond. Im fed up of the covid discussions. You either live with the current situation or hide away. Everyone has a personal choice.

See you at the festival.....or not?

Hi
I’ve read through this and, unless I missed something, it doesn’t give details of any protocols that may be in place during the event.
Any protocols will not worry me but if people have to queue for a long time to get into something due to number restrictions or if people have to wear masks all the time or if there’s long distance one way systems in place then I think it’s only fair to pre warn them - it may also prevent some nasty/aggressive confrontations.

Maybe you will, loved it in 2019 and thought it was a great event

On returning home, I immediately booked in Aug 2019 for the 2020 ABR Festival that was of course cancelled

2021 event................not so sure, a week is a long time in this Covid time and I will see how daily infections pan out, in the next 7 days and hospital admissions

Anyway I do have a bike riding option for that very weekend, in the northern Lakes and North Pennines, with some mates - so may just give ABR 2021 a miss this year and just go ride my bike and then go to the 2022 ABR Festival

But Covid will still be here in 2022.....

We'll be on the 60th variant by then and the people who are scared to go out now will be even more scared, or dead of stress,

I know no-one who has had more than Flu like symptoms & a loss of sense of smell.

The only fatalities are always a friend of a friend.....

My eldest is on his second bout of Covid, has had 1 jab - his house has never been so well maintained!! :D

I'm only on this earth once, I'm not going to spend years cooped up worrying over something that is significantly less likely to do me harm than any of my hobbies (that I do voluntarily - for fun!!).

That's my personal Risk Assessment anyway....

Well Chalky I can tell you it aint just a bit of flu
My best man John went to Chesterfield hospital with a bad back problem contracted either going there or coming home and died 4 week later.
My old mate Paul ********** died of covid about 2 weeks after John

Christ what more evidence do you people need to convince yer
I also know that 3 people who live within 300 yds of me have been taken by this plague

I do hope you and your family are never affected as well

Well said Mick
I personally know a few that died and other fit people who are suffering long Covid-even though they never went to hospital
A friend’s husband is 53, and 12stone and ran marathons etc up to 2019
Got Covid in autumn 2020 and it took him 6 months to get over it, never went to hospital and he had to learn to walk again once out of his bed

You had might as well go up to the families of the 130,000 people (in the UK alone) who have died of covid in the last 18 months and spit in their faces. What a disgraceful post. Where do you think this fact-denial will get you? Just because you don't want something to be true. Selfish, insulting crap.
