How To Section Links

Post by abermarc » Tue Aug 06, 2019 9:42 am

BIt random but I love reading through the 'How To' section of the website here https://www.adventurebikerider.com/category/how-to/

However, having to click on the Load More button and waiting for page to refresh to get to bottom of the list is quite annoying if you want to start reading from the bottom up or just want to flick through to re-read a particular article.

Is there anyway to get an index list of all the articles in one place?

Having to wait? How bloody annoying! :o
Why don't you save your favourite articles in, now wait for it, "your favourites" on your computer or tablet or whatever it is you use?
That's what I do when I want to come back to something on a website or forum. Sometimes you've just got to help yourself.

I'm an IT specialist in a particularly sensitive job. I'd like to think I know what 'favorites' are, thank you.

It was just a question - not a figment of my own laziness. The page loads a number of articles at a time so one button click does not equal all articles. Several button clicks eventually get me to the bottom of the page. I'll happily pull my own index list from the page code and post it here for others benefit but I wanted to know if it had already been done beforehand.

Not as far as I know, and looking at the options in the backend it does not look likely but I'll ask the IT man.

Try using the search facility and you'll be able to jump between the pages rather than go load more, or you could use the sitemap for the website but there's a lot to go through to find all the pages as indexing has been poor.
You can also add
page/2/
to
https://www.adventurebikerider.com/category/how-to/
or
page/3/ etc up to the current 7 pages.
A plain index would be best though without the pictures.

It seems you can change the "how to" search parameter to page numbers the oldest being page 18 as below, but the site script doesn't seem to allow loading all on one page

If you CONTROL-CLICK on the link, it'll open up a new tab, which you can close when you've read it, and the original page is still as was.
