How many of us have had a driving lesson that includes motorway experience? HGV's do.
It's incredible how often cars attempt to join the carriageway doing less than 50mph when there is nothing in front of them, we should be taught that the main users of lane 1 (hgv's) will most likely be doing 56mph so get up to that speed before attempting to merge.
If you cannot merge you can use the hard shoulder for a short distance to avoid a collision.
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.

These will be the same drivers that play the reaction test game = drive in groups of six, each no further than a foot from the car in front at 90mph. Eyes fixed on the brake lights of the vehicle ahead because to drop back and look any further ahead would be a sign of weakness.
As we all know, if you allow even the slightest gap between yourself and the driver in front, they will reach their destination 0.1 seconds before you and you are therefore a complete and total loser.

Ive lost count of the number of times I’ve driven down the motorway in a truck and had to give a toot on the horn to make drivers aware of my presence as they are fixated on the door mirrors while joining the road and not looking over their shoulder to notice the 65ft 44t truck alongside them.
