Re: New Tenere 700
So, can we take it that you've ordered one to go alongside your current Tenere then Tramp?

Re: New Tenere 700
I think it looks particularly good from this angle...
I'm surprised to see they kept the four separate headlights, I was certain they'd have replaced them with a one-piece plastic assembly for the production spec.

Re: New Tenere 700
Looks amazing. 205 kgs wet. I want one:))
However...Availability
Due to differing government regulatory standards and factory production line schedules, the all-new Ténéré 700 is scheduled to arrive at U.S. dealerships in the second half of 2020 while in Europe the new machine will arrive earlier; in the second half of 2019. The bike will be available in a Ceramic Ice color scheme. MSRP will be announced at a later date.

Re: New Tenere 700
i have a feeling that they are going to blow a hole in a few bows on price with this bike ..... the mt engine is very very good and its still 30 odd kgms lighter than the 800 class and africa twin . and its a looker for sure the tigers gss and africa twins are deffo trailing behind in the pretty boy stakes and that mt engine is way good enough to not worry about the extra capacity of the others ....
im going 7895
im going 7895

Re: New Tenere 700
I bought a 700 Tracer in April ‘17 and did 10,000 miles on it.
I thought it was a great bike and superb value for money....however, I sold it in favour of using my ‘09 F800GS for the current down under travels.
The BM has better suspension, maybe the engine has more character too (???). The main reason I bought the Tracer was because my GS had a sidecar bolted to it. Now it doesn’t. I like the 800 and want to get it to the 100,000 mile mark so that’s why I’ve continued with it. Plus I had all the bits, like luggage, bolted to it that I want.
So, as and when I get home (wherever that is?) I will more than likely need/want a new bike.
It will all depend on our ongoing plans and dreams of course but as a direct replacement for the 800GS......
Tenere 700....head says yes.
Guzzi V85....heart says yes.
KTM 790....throttle hand says yes.
I reckon that the Tenere has all of the boxes ticked for me, I have a favourite Yamaha dealer too. Ongoing service and running costs will be a lot less than a BMW for sure. The bank manager would probably agree with my head regarding the Tenere.
And so the dilemma of choosing a new bike goes on......a bit like me really.
