Re: First time fire trails
It would be extremely helpful if you gave us a clue or even just a small hint as to whereabouts in the world you are.
There is a cracking trail Kariba to Vic falls that would suit you

Only after editing it
And for all you know I might of been talking about the Zambian side of the great Zambezi.
But yeah Zimbabwe supposed to be a great run would love to go back and do the whole thing.

All men are wise when looking backwards, especially post editing
Yes driven from Harare to Kariba but only on four wheels, would loved of done some two wheeled exploring but too much work time not enough free time
Your name was the guess for the Zim side

There are some around Dolgellau that could be suitable :
1. To the east of dolgellau, to the north and south of the road that comes in from bala. The one to the south ends up at the highpoint of the road that leads from dolgellau to dinas mawddwy.
2. South of barmouth, Lon Ddu, runs basically along the western flank of cadair idris.
3. Another possible one runs through the forest to the n west of dolgellau (v near the trail that is known as 'the motorway', but don't try that one!)
Not at home at the mo so can't help with more specifics, so you'll need to check out on a map to locate.
