Instead of heading North on the M6 i would like to go via the south to the Cotwolds and than through Wales up to Heysham and spend a few days on it. Next will be to the HISS in September with the van and light bike after missing it this year due to shoulder problems.
And than of course holiday with Mrs. , probably a week Andalusia, combining a few cities - culture and sea - maybe Cordoba and something at the coast. This will be end of April beginning of May before it gets too hot.

bed in the Midlands if you are passing through

cheers Spud ;)

Went a few months back and totally fell in love with the country so off there again but to use as a base as we plan to ride into Italy and spend a few nights around the lakes, can't wait!

Cheers

We stayed here in September, highly recommend it.

When you go to the States do you ship your bike over or hire one when you're there or ??

Myself, I've not decided between Ireland and the WAW, or Portugal - or maybe both. And I was speaking to a guy waiting for the ferry (like you do) and he'd done - ferry to Spain, ride across Spain to Barcelona, ferry to Sicily and then ride up through Italy, Austria and etceras which also sounds fun.

So many options ... ;)
I've not shipped across the pond, I've used a tour company, 106West Adventure, for riding in Colorado, and then rented off Eagle Rider. Both are hassle free and dead easy to organise.

I've just booked a gite in the Ardeche region of the Rhone Alpes and another one in Bourgogne in the Yonne region just outside the Morvan parc.
Just a week in each with a day either end to get from and to the ferry. I hate rushing, gives me a headache. :D

I've been there a couple of times before but never caught a glimpse. Third time lucky? Or is it an urban myth?

One of our co-riders on a Sport Adventure trip there reckoned he had seen one so who knows. Some awesome trails there.

I love the Morvan - didn't know there were Wolves there :)

Morocco in April, then may be a loooong weekend in July somewhere, then I'm hoping to do the Aragon HISS and Paddy Dakar in September but I'm sure the maths won't add up
