Bike tips and tricks
XT660Z.
So you are waiting at the side of the road for your mate to come and do not want to keep the engine running.
Flick on the kill switch and switch on the ignition, sit in gear, rear light and front side lights are on.
If you want low beam on at the front, you have to start the bike and then flick on the kill switch.
When your mate arrives, clutch in, flick the kill switch off and hit the starter, away in seconds with no need to fiddle about with keys.
Now is this a design feature or a bike "characteristic".
Who designed this bike?
Any other tips?

Bring back the digital bike! One digit to put the key in, one to turn it clockwise, one to press a button and you get putt putt vvvrrrrooom vvvvrroom and you just know its all working. Personal audio sensors let you know immediately if any problem.Dark Knight wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 7:02 pm XT660Z.

The first two operations require an opposable thumb (well for me they do).92kk k100lt 193214 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 8:36 pmBring back the digital bike! Re: Bike tips and tricks
May be a daft question but once the bike is off and not running why keep the kill switch on why not switch off and wait. then all you have to do is clutch in starter button and gone.
All things built not bought . The only way is adventure .

Re: Bike tips and tricks
If the bike is running and you hit the kill switch, the low beam remains on, if you switch on the bike with the kill switch on, only the side lights are on and you take a lot less power out of the battery.
