I just read it to my wife and she said you just saw an angel.

Now, angels are not just chubby cherubs, when they get described in the Bible they are of imposing stature.... think about the angel appearing to the shepherds.... shepherds spent all their time out in the fields, fending off wolves etc, a real tough bunch. In Luke it says 'An angel of the Lord appeared to them....and they were terrified'

Maybe that's what you saw???

Abandoned buildings do it to me for some reason. We stumbled upon a bullet ridden industrial complex in croatia which was a little unnerving complete with a pack of wild dogs. Never thought I would hear Mike described as an angel!
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.

You fuck3r blag. Me and the missus are pissing ourselves.

You should have stopped Bryn. You will always wonder.
Hell no! I've read too many creepy posts on websites and seen too many horror films to know you don't stop, you get out of there haha.

An angel is an interesting suggestion, sounds ominous though.

And that's incredibly spooky Redmurty, this thing was definitely giant...

Seems to have been quite a trend back in the 1840's ...

I've never really liked liver and after reading that this was the first bit that ate of each other I'm right off the stuff now!

Good creepy story, you obviously saw something.
I'm a bit wooden regarding supernatural stuff, I've never experienced anything slightly spooky on or off a bike, so I'm super-cynical.
However, I'd love to have the Bejesus's scared out of me in a similar experience (thumbs)
