Lap of Ireland in 24hrs

Post by TomBoyNI »

So this is my next challenge... A complete circuit of Ireland in under 24hrs.

I was hoping to have it done already at some time coinciding with the longest day but the weather hasn't been kind.

Hoping a slight break in the weather appears at the start of the week.

Comes in at about 900 miles. Should be tough...

Reckon you can do it?

Whats the plan?

9 hours averaging 50mph, 6 hours sleep, then another 9 hours averaging 50mph?

Tomboy-Irishtiger of this parish did it a couple of years ago. Also the Ireland Iron Butt association has it as one of their routes.

And from what i remember reading it is 900 plus miles

Good luck (thumbs)

Sounds like a mission, but a good one (thumbs) . I reckon it will be a tough one to do.
