Which Leatherman?

Post by Schoe000 »

Can anyone recommend which Leatherman to buy. There are a lot of different versions with different tools. Which tools have you found to be the most useful? Happy to spend about £100 my bike is a DRZ400s (if that makes and difference) and will use it when away for weekends.

Cheers Nick

On previous experience i'd really avoid the "gimp" version.

Go for the Surge. Awesome tool. I lost my first one laning in Wales, but I bought exactly the same again. I take it everywhere. Well built with a lifetime guarantee.

+1 for Wave. Had mine about 15 years and it's still perfect. And it's had a lot of abuse

1+ had mine 7 years managed to break a piece off (my fault!) Leatherman didn`t repair it they gave me a brand new one no quibbles (thumbs) their 25 year guarantee is second to none (thumbs) seems like a lot of money but worth every penny (thumbs)

Wave - tactical black anodised. Great bit of kit and not intrusive or too heavy
