Did anybody see the opinion thingy on mcn asking which was the best communter bike? They had goldwing on the last  and nothing below about 700cc.

It would be far more effective if everyone who normally rides to work had a 'take the car' day.
The increase in congestion, parking shortages etc would be immense.
It would be a good lesson for those who seek to discourage motorcycling.

Re: RIDE TO WORK DAY 18TH JUNE
Most days are "ride to work" days for me and I'm always evangelising about the benefits of commuting by bike especially in London. However, Sod's law has dictated that on Monday I'm working down in Sussex and have to take all my gear so will be in the car! Ho Hum!
Re: RIDE TO WORK DAY 18TH JUNE
Same here, everyday I go to work it's on the bike. Can't afford a car anymore....
Adventure motorcycling is a challenge for those who go but only a dream for those who stay behind.

Seriously a Goldwing? If I didn't have to negotiate the A3 into London I would be on a scooter. Even the 125 has trouble getting through some of the gaps.Takes me 70 mins to cover 27 miles, just getting through Camden usually takes 10Mad Hatter wrote:

Might have monday off if all the tourers are out
