Hi all,
I am a newbie on here and look forward to talking / typing to you all over the foreseeable future.
I'm 52, and have never been without a bike since I was 15 years old.
Most have been road bikes, from MV to R1 and Blades, and the final love of my life road wise was a Ducati ( now in my sons keep ), I even bought a new HD which was so dissapointing it lasted 2 months.
Over the years I have had quite a few trail / off road bikes from TS Suzuki's to Sachs KTM, and machines from the big H,the last of which was a Dominator with Acerbis, long range tank, and plastics lazer can etc, I was after an XR 650 but the electric start won over the kick start.
Currently I have an 1150 GS, which I have no intention of getting rid, as it's one of those bikes that I'd always wanted, but never got around to owning, plus I refer the looks to those of the 1200.
Anyway thats me and as said looking forward to conversing with some of you guys in the future.
Cheers,
Mark.
The end of the road is the start of the fun

A bad day on the bike is still better than a good day at the office

Hello. Nice to put a bit of background to a name. :)
I went to the Caribbean on holiday with my wife last year.

Jamaica?

No, she wanted to.

Aye aye Mark, welcome from the NE of Scotland, similar background, bikes since a kid, tried all kinds, settled for the reliability of the big H, five XRV750's followed by the Mighty XL1000V Varadero.

Good to see you eventually made it onto the forum Mark. Agreed with the HD comment, I rode a Nightrain for a while and covered less miles with that bike than I did on a CZ175.
