Hello all at ABR.
Been lurking and reading a while since being told about this place by Tramp. Some of you might know me from XRV.org.uk where I post (very) occasionally as 1gear1brake. I see a lot of names here that I recognise from XRV.
My bike of choice is my Africa Twin which I absolutely love to bits. I enjoy touring and the occasional trip off-road
My touring started back in 1992 when I met my long time touring buddy Matt. We went across France ending up in Corsica (by bicycle!). A few years later we went 4000 miles east to west across America also by bicycle. Now we have graduated onto motorbikes and we've been around France and Spain a few times and up to Nordcap. Here's a pic of Matt with our bikes in the Bardenas in Spain last year.
Been going to the HU meetings in Ripley for the last 5 or 6 years for inspiration but not yet done a real 'adventure' tour. One day, I will get beyond the boundaries of Europe but the next trip planned is Portugal next Easter.
Nice to be here and looking forward to reading peoples' tales of adventure....
