Re: rally fever
out of interest - what exactly is a "rally bike"?
A bike that can mount a roadbook?
A bike that can carry tent, sleeping bag and beer to a wet, far flung field?
Or a bike capable of completing a competitive rally? ( ie extra fuel capacity & full nav gear, whilst light weight)
I see numerous new products offering "rally kits" to add weight to virtually every bike available - to make it look like a Dakar clone but other than looks don't really know what a "rally bike" is.

Any of the above...that’s why it’s better to build your own..you can build it how you want...or ring up Mr Poskitt, he’ll build one for you...Crossrutted wrote:out of interest - what exactly is a "rally bike"?

Re: rally fever
What exactly are you looking to do? dont make the mistake of buying a "rally bike" without knowing and without really doing your research. If you want to try a rally, a 350 or a 450 enduro bike is fine with a roadbook mount, roadbook and tripmeter. You do not need all the fairings etc
