Well that escalated quickly

Post by GrumpyPirate »

Hi all, I’ve been a biker for many years. Realising I was in danger of becoming a fair weather rider started a quest to get a winter hack, this is now grown into a desire to get heavily into adventure riding and hopefully in a few years starting the TET

A few years gives me time to get my kit together, learn some off road skills, and get my fitness level up a bit.
In all honesty I’m hoping for 2020
My plan is to build up over the next 18 months, starting with small weekends away, building up to longer tours until I do the 500+mile trip round Scotland’s highlands.
All the time training off road locally,

Once I’ve done that, if I’ve still got the bug, I can properly plan attacking the TET

At least that kinda sound realistic in my mind 🤪

most people do the TET in chunks that suit their personal time/financial contsraints, the uk parts could suit as your off road training.Get some off road boots and army Gore-Tex gear and away you go.good luck with however you do it and have fun
