No more slugs

Having ridden tourers for many years, and fancied that I could 'make slugs fly' I have taken the plunge with a KTM 1190 and am having a great time, and my last BMW is now the commuter bike, soaking up miles (and salt).

Based in Suffolk there are masses of enjoyable road routes for me all over the E of England, and I like the idea of taking the Katoom off tarmac too, but I am very much a beginner there.
Riding the Scottish Highlands in September, and scheming a 15-day tour of Northern Spain (Picos & Pyrenees and coastal) for Spring 2019.

Would welcome learning from others who have ridden those paths before me...

Hey Tim - many thanks for the suggestion. Sadly I can't make that date, but very tempted to lay in some knobbles and give it a whirl, although I am a true novice.

I have been pleased with the KTM's low speed feeling of easy balance (for a road bike) and want to learn. So I will get a mate to show me some gentle stuff that my road tyres can work with to build my confidence.
