Firstly, glad I found his forum. I'm probably going to have a lot of questions if I go ahead with what I want to do.
I'm based in the south, right on the Hampshire & West Sussex border and my riding is predominantly tarmac or loose surface/footpath or track but nothing too hardcore.
My bike is a Bonneville T100 Black which I bought before I had a clearer idea of what my time in the saddle was going to be spent doing. I bought this bike as second bike and didn't buy it with my head. I am at the point where this bike is up for sale as I have my eye on a VStrom 1000, MY2017 so it has the IMU etc. If I can't get the right money for the Bonneville I have it in mind to get it set up for my preferences. I need to address suspension, it's pretty poor out of the box whatever you want to do with the bike. Tyres, luggage, moving the exhausts out of the way, fitting an oiler, sump guard are all possibly on the agenda.
Am I wasting my time with this or is it do-able or even worthwhile? Has anyone else done as much?
Anyway, that's me and this is why I'm here.
Hi all, new here and quite possibly with an unusual or not so clever idea

Hello and welcome,
A fair few years ago I did the same, I bought a Bonneville black and then decided I needed better luggage options.
I used Norman Hyde parts and uprated the front suspension with progressive springs and the rear with Ikon shocks. Added a sump guard and givi side panniers and rear rack. Then heated grips, better seat, m bars, spotlights etc
I did about 50,000 miles on that bike, longest was about 500 miles in a day.
It was a gorgeous bike but realised that the weight of 220kg was sometimes just a bit too heavy for me.
Lovely bike though

I think you're right, I found a link to that yesterday although I didn't watch it at the time. Not a Beckham fan, or at least not of the reverence the media bestows upon him but that's getting off beam...
I wonder if that's out on DVD??

That looks exactly like I'd see mine if I go ahead with it. Good mileage you had on it!Godspeed wrote: βWed Jun 06, 2018 9:06 am Hello and welcome,

Luggage options are still a little sparse for a 2018 bike. Maybe I'll give Givi a ring.
I have the heated grips and comfort seat already so there's a start.

Custom Arrow exhaust was made for it which they really should market and sell.

Standard Scrambler shocks are longer than T100 ones and should be easily available from people changing them out.
Tec do some good stuff and is priced well which might be a better option especially if you can find (or make) a skid plate to cover it.
It's the Arrow full system for the Scrambler, looks like it was ceramic coated black as well. There is some dicking around/replacing parts with the rear brake master cylinder, side panel and some other bits to get it on properly.Flashp wrote: βWed Jun 06, 2018 10:35 amT100 https://www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk/ne ... bonnevillediggermanbob wrote: βWed Jun 06, 2018 10:07 amI think they used the scrambler version , looks nice
