Hello everybody, I'm Chris, 30 years young and I'm from the Netherlands.
I've had my motorcycle license for about 1,5 years now but never did any riding. Last Friday I did a 2 hour lessen to freshen things up.
I'm now looking for information on my first adventure oriented bike which is the primary reason for visiting this forum.

Groet,
Karin.

Welcome Chris, are you looking for new or a used bike for your first one?
I'd say buy used first to make your mistakes on before you splash out on new (not to say you won't make mistakes later) but scratches on paint work are more painful on a new bike
BMW GS be it 650, 700, 800, 1100, 1150, or 1200 are s good start.
KTM 640, 690, 950, 990, 1090
Or Japanese Tenere, Africa Twin, V-Strom etc
These things are so personal. Take as many test rides as you can

Welcome aboard, from Somerset UK. There is a Trans Euro Trail section in the Netherlands. Worth taking a look at.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Any bike can be an 'adventure bike'. It is what you do with it that makes the difference.
I am travelling through the Netherlands in a couple of days heading for Berlin, do you have chains of cheap motels like the formula 1s they have in France? Thanks Jak
