hi from a nearly newbie

hi, im not a complete newbie to the forum but ive only just realised there were other sections as well as the "recent posts" bit that comes up first, (yes, im great with computers and t'interweb)
names dave, moved to a VA6 varadero from sports bikes a couple of years ago, love it. not been on any major trips because of work/family/mortgage commitments but every year ive managed a week or ten days away in europe, going to picos de europa in spain again in a couple of months, lovely round there. i dont feel you need to go too far to have an 'adventure' ride (if you want adventure try riding out of gosport about 5 in the afternoon), but in the next 2 or 3 years i do plan to cross to another continent, either gib-africa or to asia through istanbul, dont know, depends on (as usual) time and money available.

I live probably 20miles from Trevor Popes KTM dealership in Gosport and use his mail order and pay postage rather than torture myself with that car park of a road!

hi guys, yes gosport is a biatch i would hate to live there, only three roads in/out and the place is a giant housing estate, every morning and afternoon is just a nightmare. ive wanted to go to africa for a while, not for a long time, just a few days around the med coast will do me.
i may well have been down the cares gorge, with a quite rough big river running along the bottom? great riding round the picos, im going for the moto piston rally, those old bikes sound fantastic through the canyons.
