Hi macdee!!

Firstly....Welcome.

Secondly....before I start, this is simply my personal opinion. However, I test rode a Dominator many moons ago, and for a guy my size 6"1' and just over 14st, I felt it was a tad underpowered. But it depends what you're going to use it for. If it's manily road going, then I'd (personally) go for something with more power. I don't think the Dominator is a true off-roader either, so if that's your vibe I think you'd be better going for a bike bespoke to that terrain.

Hope that helps :)

Hello Macdee, welcome to the forum from Banbridge.

Why don't you join the NIAR Group on here, for postings re local ride out, general abuse etc etc

On the grey bar at the top, look for MEMBERS, open the drop down and select groups. Scroll through to find NIAR and join in

Hopefully meet for a ride out / coffee soon

Welcome macdee.....!!!

Which part of Co.Antrim are ya from? I used to live a few miles past Carrickfergus etc...

Have a look at the Suzuki 650cc V-Strom, a brilliant middleweight machine, very capable of touring Europe no hassles, and further.

Best wishes;
Peter

Hi from Belfast

I'm with Macvisual and Moto al.
Go with something a little fresher like the Transalp or V-Storm.
If its purely touring have a look at a Deauville.

All have a larger tank range than a Dommie (120-140 to reserve).
They may come in at the same money or little more than a good dommie.
