Just the way it goes mate, I'm a lifelong Honda rider with the odd Triumph thrown in. Seems to be quite high feelings on here, just like other forums regarding GS's, hopefully it'll blow over. ;)

You just summed it up yourself "I'm a lifelong Honda rider" I myself rode Ducati's for years with not a thought of changing thinking they were the ultimate sports bike, "blinkered by the brand" I call it, then Buells, thinking this is the perfect bike, handles superb, sounds awesome, can mix with the sportsbike riders and Harley riders a like, what more could I ask for, till I tried the GS, handles great, mega comfy plus if I want to get on to the less travelled roads I can.
So if you want to "tar me with the GS brush" (if there is such a thing) thats fine, but I might not be what you expect if you ever meet me ;)

I've had a Yamaha, two suzuki's and now a Kwakasaki. Lot of Beemer riders down my way don't nod which I find a bit unfriendly.

I think theres a whole stereotype thing going on and it does sometimes seem evident out on the roads...

That said I think the GS/A is a Great bike and give it a few years I'll be looking for one of my own. I love them, physical size, more accessories than you can shake a stick at too!

Don't worry about that nodding thing, just wave your arms frantically at them to slow down next time, that'll have them down to 55mph for the next ten miles until they realise there's no speed camera :P
