Hello from Sussex

Post by Guppista »

My first post advertising the fact that I have put issues 1 & 2 of Adventure Bike Rider up for auction on ebay was removed within a few minutes - looking round it seems I need to make a few posts first so here is my first.

Have been a reader from issue one

A couple of years ago I owned a DR350 and a Transalp XL700 pictures attached/below.

I then came across a rebuilt California Special Sport - lovely sounding lafranconi exhausts, power commander, new shocks etc - thought I might be able to tempt the wife back into touring however despite a new and expensive outfit (for her) a couple of circuits of Sussex is all she has managed (prefers her horse).

Well I'm only allowed two bikes at a time so the DR350 had to go.

Next I thought about trading the XL700 for the Triumph 800XC. Not sure what happened but came home with a Street Triple and a big smile on my face.

A while later and another encounter with a mobile speed camera and I think its time to reconsider the 800XC! With a relative relocated to Spain - a new excuse to start thinking about a longer trip.

Anyway:

No you don't want to get a 800xc

Looking at doing some of the Green lanes near Crowborough next month. Found loads on the http://www.southerntrails.co.uk/byways-in-kent.html website. Can you rate any special ones.
