Hopefully Needless to say count me in on the BBQ!Flintlock wrote:So, was up with Colin at The Shepherds Rest today, he said he could provide a steak BBQ as an alternative for the usual on the Saturday night
14oz Sirloin steak, chicken, salmon and sausages
Mashed potatoes & chips
Peppered sauce & gravy
4 salads
Desserts
£18 (normal price £22)
This would suit him, as he is holding a BBQ earlier in the day - Personally I think its a great deal and something different form the past evening meal.
We would all need to be in agreement for this, as it would be lmpractical for him to do both.
Thoughts please?
Also the breakfast venue is booked (thanks Gav & Pete) It will be at the Treehouse just outside Muff. Price to be negotiated.
Cheers

Sounds like it's going to be a great day!Flintlock wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 10:04 pm GS looking good there Tony - safe journey.
Final brief for the Saturday run
08.30 departure from The Shepherds Rest sharp.
Remember to have a full tank of fuel for the off.
The ride will be led by Gav riding a black Yamaha XTZ1200
Heff will be mopping up at the rear on a Black GSA
Gubbo will be hanging around the middle on a white/brown GSA
The drop off method will be used - very straight forward, if you are not sure how it works - just ask
The breakfast stop is about 35 miles away - so should be there for about 09.15 - 09.30
From there its an anti-clockwise tour of the Inishowen Peninsula
The main stops (in order) will be Breakfast in Muff, Caratra near Culdaff (carpark & beach), Malin Head & Dunree Fort (lunch - hopefully around 2pm). There will be other shorter stops included.
There will be the option (weather permitting) of a wee bit of un-surfaced roads, if you do not wish to do this let Gav know and arrangements will be made to de-tour and regroup.
Remember to bring Euros for Donegal (breakfast, lunch & fuel if needed)
Roughly 160 miles total
If all goes to plan everybody should be back at the campsite around 6pm
The weather check for the weekend would appear to be favourable at this time. I think that's it all covered - if any questions just ask.
Hope you all have a good Rally
