Hi All,
In last ABR magazine there is a report by Mike Beddows of doing an off road Coast to Coast.
Was thinking is there any gpx file available for it??
Any thoughts??
Cheers,
Chris

I notice you went round the back of Skiddaw. I guess from Skiddaw House you can claim to be doing some maintenance at the youth hostel, what about the bit before that??
Re: Coast 2 Coast gpx
I haven't checked the route ry posted but I expect it to be one of several I created for the C2c. If the route goes past skiddaw it was created prior to the skiddaw bunkhouse meet and I had permission to recce the route. Under no circumstances is anyone to ride past skiddaw. The route is not legal and if you get caught you're on your own. We had permission as a group once. No more.

I have ridden it but had to use the 1/4 horsepower machine - the one with pedals!
Thanks for clarifying.

Hmm. The C2C is a cracking idea but posting a route with significant illegal elements in a sensitive national park on the forum can only impact negatively on attempts to retain what trails are still open. Yes you can give a belated qualifier saying you're on your own but i don't think it's ideal. Mike - can you remove the posted gpx and replace it with a legal one?
