ABR Issue 27 Route Files - Coleridge Way

Post by Bryn »

As you may have seen in issue 27 of Adventure Bike Rider magazine we're now running a set of features titled GREAT Britain, with the emphasis of the rides being on exploring our wonderful island by following one of our many long distance footpaths as closely as possible in the saddle of a bike. In issue 27 Alun followed the Coleridge Way from Nether Stowey to Lynmouth.

We've plotted the route out so that you can download it, stick it in your SatNav and ride it. Simply right click on the attachment below and choose 'Save Link As', once you've saved it to your computer load it into your SatNav as per the manufacturers instructions and get riding!

Hi Bryn,
Thanks for uploading, this is part of my Sunday ride out in so let's hope it doesn't get too busy now :-)

Once you get to Lynton, a ride beyond to Blackmoor Gate is a lot of fun and then holds a lot of choices for the return trip. My favourite is from Blackmoor Gate on the A399 to the North Devon linkroad (lots of fast twisties) but rather than the North Devon link road itself (boring) turn off and follow the B3227 back through Bampton and Wiveliscombe to Taunton.

Enjoying the mag.
