ABR and Kawasaki Wales's Three Highest Passes route files

Post by Bryn »

We teamed up with Kawasaki to explore Wales’s three highest passes. Starting from the ‘haven in the forest’ Betws-y-Coed, in Snowdonia, we rode from smallest to biggest: Dol-y-Moch (531m), Bwlch-y-Groes (545m) and the Gospel Pass (549m).

We've plotted the route out for your to go and ride, starting in Betws-y-Coed. The whole ride is 204 miles long, and interestingly, Gospel Pass, the highest pass in the country, isn’t where most people would have thought (Snowdonia), instead the road, which rewards riders with an outstanding view over the Wye Valley, is in the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. With this in mind, your journey will end in the small town of Hay on Wye.

If you fancy following our route and riding the three highest passes in Wales, then you'll be glad to know that you can download the gpx. file from the ride by right clicking on the file below named 'Wales's Three Highest Passes.gpx' and saving it to your computer. From there you can upload it to your SatNav by following the manufacturer's instructions.
