Abr challenge letter K for keystone. Again, trying to find an interesting target and settled for this bridge near Cardishead just outside Manchester. Apparently it used to carry 4 railway lines over the Ship Canal Not a clue where they went though. Keystone not very prominent. It's a bloody big bridge though. 4 arches and a central iron link section.

Mileage only 62. Accumulated 974.

L for lighthouse. Not very inspirational but another run up the Wirral peninsula trying to find a different route than when I did the beach.

Main target was Leasowe lighthouse with New Brighton Lighthouse for a bonus

Have I just seen you setting off on your next challenge?
Going past the Co-op in Haslington? I was two up on a black XJR.

Yes. Very probably. :) can't recall seeing you though. Just got back from doing the mountains. Went for Cheshires highest peak first and got caught in a downpour. Leathers aren't waterproof and neither was my waterproof jacket. Shit.

Trouble with hills is that you can't see the top if you are at the bottom. Went for Shutlingsloe first which I thought was Cheshires highest at 506m. Just found out that Shining Tor is just inside Cheshire and that is higher. Bugger. So a photo of the 3rd highest peak in Cheshire.

Dammed good job I went for the highest peak in the Peak district.

Kinder Scout next. Kinder Scout is a moorland plateau and National Nature Reserve in the Dark Peak of the Derbyshire Peak District in England. Part of the moor, at 636 metres (2,087 ft) above sea level, is the highest point in the Peak District, the highest point in Derbyshire, and the highest point in the East Midlands. According to Wikipedia.

Another reason why this is special is that at the western foot of the plateau is the hamlet of Kinder. This is my family name and I do a bit of family history and I am 95% certain that my family originated from here in the late middle ages. Still some more research to do. This was also the location for the famous mass trespass that resulted in the moorland being opened up to the public. The. Round trip was only 86 miles but rounded off a good day's riding.
