Solstice Weekend

Post by Moorso »

So the annual Solstice trip went ahead over the weekend there. Marvellous few days away on the bikes and camping.

Will do a full ride report, but came across the water powered saw mill at Florence Court, as well as Lissadell House and Glencar waterfall (all in the video).

Make sure the settings are flicked to full HD!

We all know what the reaction would be if the public was prohibited from going within 500yds of Stonehenge don't we? There'd be riots on the streets of London (again) and hundreds of VW campervans trying to smash down the barricades :pinch:

Only half of that was a joke by the way; I don't really think they'd riot on the streets of London

Solstice Weekend

Post by cozmo1589 »

I was very disappointed by the news story showing just how many tons of rubbish was just thrown on the ground. Come on people, show some respect, this is Stone Henge, a World Heritage Site!! Grrrrrr!

Thanks guys (thumbs)

Cozmo...

Cannot believe that pic...that is awful! And you're right!

From my archaeology days I seem to remember that Stonehenge is aligned with the winter, not summer Solstice. But try telling them that!
