Thursday Night - Innseagan House,Fort William

Post by Jammin »

Anyone going up on Thursday night & staying at Fort William?
Just phoned the Innseagan House Hotel & have had a room rate of £55.00 for a single occupancy room, double occupancy £75.00.
Sound a bit steep to me but will go with the flow...sure it was cheaper last year.
Me & ST might go up Wednesday night, do the Skye loop & stay over Thursday night then head to Ullapool on Friday.
I've got phone number & email address is anyone wants it.

Did you mention we stated there last year?

Speak to Alex, I know a few of us had planned on stopping there on the Thursday and possibly Sunday so we might get better rates.

I did mention that we stayed there last year & she looked back & remembered Alun. She said prices had gone up & did discount it a bit. I think she had 10 rooms available. See if Alun can soften her up a bit.

I stayed there last year on the Thursday night, a bit of a shame the prices have gone up so much, we were good business for them, if I remember rightly the hotel was almost empty apart from the ABR rabble, lol. Plenty of other places to stay though!

Fort Bill is a very expensive place, as is Oban. Much sought after as weekend retreats for Weigans! Just back from that area, prices of everything seems to be up this yr.
The usual campsite we use in Oban has put its rates up to £20 for two of us in one tent. Too rich for me, I'll not be going back. Pity as we've used that site for 15yrs. :(
Ullapool was £14 earlier this yr for the same two people, one tent. Makes wild camping more and more appealing!

I was hoping to stay with a friend on the way up but he's not at home. So my next option was at Inchree as I stayed there in gale force winds. Nice to have a warm fire in the pub next door; the en-suite rooms were clean and comfortable & very reasonably priced.
Anyone fancy meeting there on the Thursday night?

PS I'm now travelling in my van so can't ride along with anyone.
