This is good intel, Heff. I had completely forgotten the South is €uro, thanks for the heads upHeff wrote:Forgot to mention this
When coming through Dublin, if you take the tunnel option near Dublin docks ( which cuts out most of the bedlam) this is a toll road so have the € euros ready. Likewise the new motorway heading north about 10 miles after the airport is also a toll road
Just a heads up so you don't get caught out.......euro only No sterling

Lads heading from Dublin port up to the north off the motor way is easy enough.
Through the Dublin port tunnel. Head for the M1 motor way. Come off the motor way second exit after the airport. Heading for rush, skerries, balbriggan, Gormanstown, drogheda, Dundalk, Newry and on to Newcastle. Some nice costal roads and back roads.

Port tunnel can cost €10 depending on the time you use it. Not worth if your on a bike.

Kudos to Flintock's route.
An alternative would be to head to Dundonald from Belfast, then use the back roads :woohoo: you would travel towards Comber, then Kilkeel to Downpatrick on to Newcastle to Meelmore Lodge. Some stunning scenery.
I did maps up for Ynotbiker - the routes highlighted are for one of the runs.....but it gives you an idea of the area etc.
