Re: Yuletide Exmoor Explorer 7th to 9th December
Kris, Bonniebird and Homer are coming down from the East coast North of London, might be good to possibly tie up with them for a bit of company on the ride down.
The cold we can deal with as long as it's not wet aswell, Going to see the campsite this weekend to see how wet it is after all the rain recently, hopefully as it's quite high up it will drain well and won't be soggy underfoot like a certain camp site last weekend.

As Spasm says, the secret is a good sleeping bag, I would also recommend a silk liner for your sleeping bag.C1REX wrote:Can you put me in, please?

I bought a good second hand one. Rab Summit 700. Worth £300 for new. Very small when packed but super hot. Should give comfort when -17C. Extreme to -49Cspasm wrote: i was joking on the 20 quid sleeper lol, u might wanna spend 80 or so on a good 4 season one, or just bring 3 cheaper ones like i did to the simmer, i was toasty
I don't have enough space for more cheaper bags. It's a small 125cc Suzuki VanVan. No panniers. Can't afford to ride a bigger bike
See you this December.

If you want I have a pair of oxford panniers you can have for a cuppa. They just go over the saddle and don't look to bad.
Rick.
