B&B

Post by Elle »

I can't stand being cold and use a down sleeping bag in summer!

I've been reviewing a few B&Bs within easy reach of the ABR campsite.
Found a few self-catering cottages too.
Wondered if anyone would be interested in sharing the cost if we find a place that sleeps 4+
It'll be for both the Friday and Saturday nights

There is a pub not far away that has a bunkhouse which I think is about £14 per person per night which also has full kitchen facilities if you fancy doing your own cooking.

I'll try and find the name if you are interested. It's something like the the royal oak...

I can vouch for the food, beer and service in the Royal Oak (no personal interest!) There will be about 10 of us eating there on the Saturday night so I hope you like a bit of noise!! :woohoo:

I've also stayed in the bunkhouse and its fine too; to get to the showers/toliets you have to come out of the barn at the top and down the stairs as the facilities are underneath the sleeping/kitchen accommodation.......always nice if you need a middle-of-the-night slash, especially if its snowing like it was the last time I stayed :P

Booked in to eat on Saturday too, hope you don't mind if I join your noisy group!!!

Booked into the bunk house, £13 a night, what a bargain. Would have camped but after nearly being blown away in Ullapool I'm playing it safe, getting soft in my older years
