Re: I only went for some chain lube......

Excellent purchase good luck with it. Sometimes these spur of the moment decisions turn out to be the best decision you ever made.

Re: ABR SOUTH COAST SIMMER RALLY 20th/22nd JULY 2012 CANCELLED DUE TO FLOODING

That's bad news I was looking forward to meeting up with everyone, hopefully it will be dry by November and we can try again. Thanks to all the organisers who have seen all their efforts come to nothing.

Re: SWMBO

Good on her,

I've just booked a CBT course for my other half as she thinks it would be cheaper for her to run a small bike than her usual Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 turbo diesel. I'm still trying to persuade here a proper 125 would be better than a 125 twist and slow.

Re: Anyone recommend an XXL helmet.........

Try the Spada Sting or the Airoh S4, I've got a 64cm bonce but find that both the Airoh and Spada fit really well, the Spada is tight getting it on and off but once on is really comfortable

Re: Questions about restoring/making a off-road bike, road legal.

Plastic tanks used to be an issue but I don't think they are anymore, KTM's all have plastic tanks. Chain guard will be needed. Speedo can be in KPH, My imported XTZ750 had a KPH speedio and went through numerous MOT's some people add little stickers for MPH equivalemt or paint on them speedo to sho...

Re: what was your first off road bike

Honda C100 (early C50) bought for £5 and raced around the field for 3 years before replacing with an off road BSA Bantam D7 which was replaced by a CZ400 motocrosser which was scarily quick but didn't handle which was replace by a Yamaha YZ490 which was even quicker but handles a whole lot better.

Re: Are all Range Rover drivers tools?

No not all of them but they must be bloody minted, I sold my RR when it was costing me over £100 a month in spares to keep the damn thing on the road. Now I've got something much more reliable, a Mitsubishi Shogun Elegance 3.2
