Re: Salisbury plain, sat 13, gs1200
See you at 10:30.
Looks like it'll be a bit muddier than when I was there a couple of weeks ago with the weather this week

Re: Salisbury plain, sat 13, gs1200
I'm in Taunton so usually head across on the A303.
Can meet somewhere in between if that works for you. The garage at Tilshead perhaps?

Re: Great Western Trail (TET)
I did most of the tracks between Chard and Ashburton way on the southern leg last year over a couple of day trips out on the 800GS by myself (it was similar sort of weather to now though so mostly dry). Only a couple of places I shied away from - mainly because they looked to be pretty steep/muddy a...

Re: Exploring Salisbury Plain 27/5/20
Haha, yeah, I thought with the dry weather any puddle I'd find would only be a few inches deep at best so a bit of a shock when the front wheel dove into a hole half way across! There were some dodgy looking ones on the perimeter track I skirted after that. Only later did I start to think of...

Exploring Salisbury Plain 27/5/20
Hello all
Have cobbled together a video of me exploring the byways on and around Salisbury Plain last week - so nice to get out and get the bike dirty again

Re: Video of a few days on the Welsh TET
How long did your ride on that bit of the TET take ? I live near Brecon so where it loops near Llanidloes is about an hour North by road and the southern bit is an hour-ish away by road. If I started up near Llanidloes how far should I get before it got dark ??? We were in Wales over 4 days but the...

Re: Video of a few days on the Welsh TET
Sorry, what I meant by that comment was that it was a shame I hadn't been using it as there would have been a lot more footage of my bike (and at times me) lying on the floor  I was using a GoPro Hero 4 for filming. I'd like the quality to be a bit better but I assume that would require a combi...

Re: Video of a few days on the Welsh TET
We met up in Gloucester and went as far as the lanes just north of Machynlleth. Decided against a couple of short lanes (can't remember where exactly) as they were either too rutted/washed out or didn't look all that kosher. :? Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) I didn't use the GoPro much on on...
