Re: Rally Raid Products CB500X
No worries Minky.
It is particularly frustrating with Kawasaki as there have already been many conversions in the States with a V motor in the KLR chassy, it would be a relatively simple job for big K to merg the KLE 500, Versys and KLR650.

Re: Rally Raid Products CB500X
They can be insured but it does take a little bit more effort, my Versys has similar mods. Re the low exhaust, as long as you keep the revs up it is OK. Mine was "tested" in Morocco in about 18" of water, yes not very deep but these bikes are not ment to be full fat dirt bikes. Also j...

Rally Raid Products CB500X
Not sure if this has been on here before but a quick search said no. There is a thread on ADv site about RRP making bits to convert a CB500X into a adventure bike that looks interesting. It will have a 19"/17" spoked wheels, longer suspension etc but they are trying to keep the price down ...

Surely if you have dependents and partake in high risk activities one should make provision just in case the worst happens....

Re: DRZ400- S Is it the best Trail bike ever ?
The DRZ needs a set of wide ratio gears and they are available from the USA. Overall gearing spread is increased by over 20% and with this mod would make a fantastic light adventure bike. I think Wesley from this parish has them. http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/972833-wide-ratio-gears-but-no-six-sp...

Goole Faulkner Springs, they have a huge range and can even measure you existing one so you know what to get.
