Re: Eventful day out.....
All part of the fun I reckon. At least you got it sorted & you where close to home. Most of my ride outs are 600 + miles on a 1988 DR750 which is getting a little long in the tooth, Apart from from a broken clutch cable I have never had an issue that couldn't be fixed in the field & the bike...

Re: Grammar Schools
Don't care what kind of school it is. Bright kids who show any kind of spark should be encouraged & given the tools they need to progress. The social under classes & those who have no ability to learn or want to learn should get a job in Pharmaceutical trials. That is all they are good for. ...

Re: The sad world .today
We are victims of technology whether phones or bikes or cars....everything. I am self employed & do my hands on work day to day but also sell on ebay. I have to force myself not to keep checking my phone for emails & ebay sales 24/7. My wife tells me off constantly, & she it right. The p...

Re: Birth of a biker.
We need to support young bikers. At the Ace cafe meet last week a good seasoned biker friend mentioned that very few new riders took or passed the test this past year. Year on year it becomes harder to afford or pass the test. Most of us on here are probably 40 + so any help we can give to the young...

Re: DR 750 - how much???
Most in the UK are imports. I couldn't afford one back in 1988 so bought the 600 instead. Like you so rightly say, we were not ready for these bikes (I was) back then so the majority of sales were in Europe.

Re: New RST adventure Clothing
Good comfy suit. Mine is the first edition which I found a little hot in 40 degree temperatures as the leg vents are not very effective. Not the warmest in winter either but Then I never expected to use it in the snow & ice. Definitely waterproof (thumbs) Good value for money in my book & if...

If it sells for that then I am selling mine !
£1800 tops I reckon, & that's for someone who really wants one bad.

Re: Anyone got a DR 750?
Got one & love it (thumbs) Shed loads of info about them on drbig.info Its a UK based site though we do have many overseas members. If that DR near you is genuine mileage then I would snap it up as its not even run in yet ! Mine is at around 44,000 miles without any engine issues & I know of...
