Re: The Two Stroke Bug - Help Needed With a Cure

Thanks guys. I think I'm more inclined toward the Suzi GT750 or similar type is what I'm likely to go for, fully restored and working, as my budget is up to £10k. Happy to look at everything at this stage however - it's all new to me and I need that again in biking. The Suzuki GT550 was in my opini...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I finally pulled the trigger and put a deposit down on one just over a week ago (from CooperB) In three years I’ve gone from a 1200GS via a CB500X to the Himalayan and I’m looking forward to having a crack at some light off roading. I purchased my Himalayan Saturday. I havent been out on it yet. I ...

Rush RIP Neil Peart He was a proper ADV rider too. Went on a long distance ride around America on a GS after his wife died. I was never a Rush fan, and I hate his Ayn Rand-inspired lyrics, but Peart was one of the most talented drummers of his time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSToKcbWz1k[media...

They also have a larger more powerful front brake.

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

When i first looked at the specifications for the Himalayan it didn,t look great on paper but that only tells a fraction of the story. I cannot pass any judgement as i have yet to ride one but the majority of Enfield himalayan owners seem very happy with their purchases. Everyone laughed when i tol...

Re: My New Bike

Isn't motorcycling all things to all people. I've been down possibly every kind of bike from full on litre sports bikes to GS's and everything inbetween and now I'm eyeing up a Royal Enfield. Enjoy you're new bike, I seem to be going in the completely opposite direction. I agree,i have owned many m...

Re: The new AJP PR7 Adventure

I took the tuned one out at Oxford this year and really liked it except for slightly jerky fuelling at steady speeds 30-40mph. Not the worst I have tried (Cagiva Navigator takes that prize) but enough to really tick me off if I owned one. The guys said they were working on new maps. Some people don...

Re: Rare vintages seen at ISDE Portugal

The Cagiva 125 was one of the first liquid-cooled enduro bikes. There was a convoluted arrangement of hoses and pipes to mount the radiator where the front number-plate should have been...god knows why as all that steered weight high up can have been of no help to anyone, and meant sticking the fro...
