Re: africa twin
Unfortunately the cross tourer DCT weighs a mighty 285kg, and I’d like something lighter. That V4 engine and shaft drive must be the reason. VFR is a bit lighter but too sporty riding position for me. NC750 better, but perhaps that engine is a bit short of power. Most owners seem to love em though. ...

Re: africa twin
Whilst at the bike show last year I asked one of the Honda staff about the possibility of tubeless tyres being offered on the AT in the future. He replied that he wasn’t aware of any plans, but said that loads of other people had asked the same question. Like you Boggs, I must be a wuss. For road us...

Re: Peak district adventures
Nice one Sir, I like it! Appreciate the time it takes to edit, don’t think I’d have the skills or patience.
Looking forward to more footage of blue smoke from those exhausts.
Also liked the link to Fred Dibdahs overhang climb. Wonder what Health and Safety Exe would say about that now?!!!!

Re: Leaking fork seals.
Yep, works well for me too. One of the best tips I’ve picked up, so thanks for reminder. Always a nice feeling when a quick fix saves you a shed load. Made mine from a lemonade bottle as the plastic has less friction. Think a lot of off roaders do it as routine maintenance before they leak. Wonder h...

Re: N85 Route Napoleon
Cheers lads, I'm off on my travels on Wednesday . Overnight in Ieper then shoot for Grenoble for an overnight. Up early and do the Alpe D'Huez before hitting the N85 down to Castellane for a few days. Going rafting and canyoning before heading over to Millau and Gorge du Tarn ( any advice on Tarn r...
Re: Bike fire
Looks like the old Varadero. A couple of years ago at the RTTW a VFR blood bike went up in flames after the event after the rectifier caught fire. Lots of people trying to put the fire out but as soon as it reached the tank they could only stand back and watch. Well spotted Craig, I agree, Honda Va...

Blimey, looks like they are £500 new! Surprised you haven’t sold it yet at original £250. If it doesn’t sell here stick it on other forums and I’m sure it’ll go quickly at that price.

Re: ABR Ireland Rally 2018 18-20 May
Yay! Ferry all booked! One of my fav events of the year. Wonder if I’ll be on same bike? Probably!
As usual I’ll do a couple of days first swanning around getting lost, and may visit the South Pole pub, particularly if there is a campsite nearby.
