Re: Trip up north in Scotland
Well it was certainly wet on the Monday, met some american women at Tyndrum doing the west highland way walk, they were heading up to Fort William, very wild going through Glen Coe with the high wind and heavy rain, if walking must be like survival training. The Tyndrum Calidonian Hotel was fine, th...

Trip up north in Scotland
Just getting ready to go up north in Scotland for a bit of a wander on the S10l. Usual problem of getting everything into the panniers. First stop is Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness. Have booked a few cheap B & Bs/Hotels to stay when away. First thing to happen was that the Balavoulin at Aviemore has...

Re: Midweek Meander
Some great views up there.
Was up at Killin yesterday and noticed that they had been cutting down a large number of trees.
It was quiet at Callander but busy at Killin with many tourists.
There was the usual mobile homes slowing up the traffic but not really a problem on the S10.

Re: Recommend me a weekend away
I am heading up north in Scotland at the beginning of May, Loch Ness, Ulapool and beyond, just getting a bit nervous of another lock down.
I will be on my S10, but remember its not about the bike, its all about the journey and the people you meet on the way.

Re: 12 months European insurance cover....
Must admit that the last time that I was in Antwerp, a few years back, the railings around the harbour were all rusted up and those cobbles in the city centre were a nightmare.
Got the sort of impression that you should walk around with your biker gear on in case someone tries to mug you.

Re: 12 months European insurance cover....
I have three bikes all insured with Bennets under the same policy, they use a number of different insurance brokers, so may be worth a call.
The cost of my insurance has just dropped by £100 which is certainly unusual, in fact it is a bit worrying.
