Re: bike boots

Probably an old post but will add a +1 on the SIDI Adventure. I had to throw the credit card at the till & lalala when they told me the cost but they have proved worth every penny. Waterproof even on the worst downpour & pretty comfy. I've had mine for about a year & a half after wearing...

Re: VANVAN ALPS ADVENTURE 2011

K44rl has a gift for photos, that was a grand adventure B) Le Havre to Grenoble gave me some serious monkey butt, was good to get off road & out of the saddle :) Loved rush hour in Torino, must have been missing playing with traffic as had me cackling to myself. I do love my VV, much better engi...

Re: South Wales On-Road Routes?

It isn't round the corner being more central but hey Wales isn't exactly huge  I had great fun on the Aberystwyth mountain road & the roads surrounding the Elan Valley reservoir. Stunning scenery, it's not a race track as there are far too many animals on the road so a good excuse to po...

Re: Hello from P4ulie

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :) Yup tis a VanVan with a few little mods (hand guards see more action fending off Transits than hedgerows though) 6 of us were up the Stella Alpina as part of an Alps trip the other week (1600 miles in total). We missed the organized event & had the place p...

Hello from P4ulie

Hey all, I'm Paul from just south of London, useful site this. Technically I don't have an adventure bike, what with it being a 125cc tiddler. Never let that stop me though B) 25000 miles so far & nearly going strong. I use it mainly for commuting but have seen a fait bit of Britain & Europe...

Re: help camera advice urgently required

Another vote for the Ixus (any of them really but I have the 100 IS), I reckon it is the best budget point & click out there. Great photos, long battery life, nothing complicated & also takes a pretty good video. Picked mine up on fleabay for £80. Used the ixus for my avatar shot ;) Paul
