Re: got 4 bikes i need to trickle charge ..is there a multi smart charger or other?

I wonder - if they were all wired together in parallel (jump start style + to + and - to -) would an optimiser see them as one big battery and keep the whole system topped up? Anyone know of a downside to this? I can't think why it would be dangerous or anything but I'm no electrical engineer.

Re: Vehicle rental abroad - license changes

I found this on another forum it's the DVLA site you can check your own details on https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence The only thing that wouldn't be evident on your license for a hire company to use this site would be your NI number - still seems silly to me to have to get a code that's only v...

Re: Feels like I'm getting robbed!

I agree the rear disk is probably due, replacing the front disks myself saved me about £150 - I'd swear I never use the brakes but they keep wearing out ;-)

Re: Feels like I'm getting robbed!

I've just checked with the garage and they only usually change the seal and the oil - never heard of changing a bushing at the same time to deal with wear and tear! OMG! I've asked them to wrap up the job this time around (quoted £31 for the parts and as it'll be a strip down job anyway the labour s...

Re: Feels like I'm getting robbed!

Thanks for the insight Richard - I've tackled a few jobs, I replaced the front disks and regularly do the brake pads but I've steered clear of jobs like forks and the engine (my hands are too big for much in that engine space :-)) Not knowing much about bike suspension I'd guess that the bushes are ...
