I used the Mitas Dakar 09s on my Tenere to do loads of trails to and from Italy, including the one up Mount Jafferau and I found them to be spot on. Just bought some Mefo Explorers from Zen Overland (top company)for my 990 to go to Malta and back so hopefully they'll be fine.....let you guys know af...

Got to agree on the excellent feedback for the Tenere. Had mine for 2 years, did Spain, Portugal, France and Italy off road and it coped with my limited skills admirably. Only things that I found needed changing were the dreadful footpegs (way too narrow and short) and the addition of some 20mm bar ...

Done a few things but in short; - 12 years with Military Survey as a civilian making maps and charts for the armed forces - followed by another 12 years lecturing at University - since 2000, waste management either with a local authority or as a consultant in the private sector .....but really wante...
