Just had my calipers/pistons cleaned up on the Varadero. Theres a fair bit of wear on the caliper carrier and locating pins (only to be expected when it's been ridden through 12 winters) Hoses seem to be fine.

Funny how the gradient didn't seem that steep on the way up. Only got a true perspective coming down.

From memory wild camping in Lake District NP is restricted to areas above 1000ft. Might have changed though

I would find it hard to understand if the stuff was cheap, but at £1.40 a litre its unbelieveable. Haulage contractors are always the first to complain (and rightly so) when prices increase. It must be worth their while to monitor their vehicles more closely. Down this way Mondays seem to be worse. ...

Just bought flights for £500 (end of Feb)Netflights. Travel by Public transport, low end accomodation, eat with the locals and don't drink too many 'Lions' You should stay on budget
