Re: Hood or Draggin'

Red route cargo jeans. I tested a pair in anger and they were fine. Hit the deck at about 40 and the only hole appeared from where the change in my pocket was against the road. My richa jacket wasn't so lucky, or my spada gloves, or my elbow, or my hand actually :( You live you learn though.

Re: Opinion Poll

Both but mainly commuting atm, not got a lot of time for leisure :( . I commute on it rain or shine but not snow or ice, the mighty cbf doesn't like snow or ice. I used to use my old 125 whatever the weather but that was before me and the Mrs got a car between us and it handled alright in the snow.

Re: Questions about DRZ400's or alternatives

Cheers for the help guys. Yer I've seen a couple of 05 plate ones with less than 4k on for less than 2 grand, although one of them is an ex west midlands police bike which if its the one I'm thinking of looked very well cared for last time I saw it. It was the motorway thing that held me back really...

Questions about DRZ400's or alternatives

Hi all. I'm thinking about changing my bike from the CBF to something more suitable for off tarmac stuff and so far the DRZ looks a good choice but I have a few questions. I'll start off by saying about my riding habits and constraints though: I'm on a tight budget (2k at most) I commute all year ro...

Re: Best way to get a broken lock off ?

Other than that damp towels over the tyre, caliper and everything else. Angle grind it off and sand it slightly to smooth the disk to avoid that annoying noise.

Re: Best way to get a broken lock off ?

If its a disk lock this is a bit of a faff but the best way if you've got a center stand. Drop the wheel off. Take the disk off. Clamp disk in lock vice or something similar. Angle grinder lock off being careful not to catch the disk. Light touch with light wet and dry to smooth of the crap from the...

Re: dodgy chinese bikes

I really would love another one :-(. They do make bigger engine sizes as well even some gs copies but I don't know what I would do with the other nine. Although if I brought 10 registered one ever 2 years I wouldnt have to mot a bike for 20 years  http://m.alibaba.com/product-gs/204530131/XY40...
