Re: e-scooters make London even more of a hell-hole
You are right. I'd say in the scenario of hitting a 3 year old the risk doesn't weigh on being sued but hitting the 3 year old. If there's people around I slow down to walking pace or just push it, I'm more concerned with not hitting anyone or anything than if the mode of transport is legal or not....

Re: e-scooters make London even more of a hell-hole
I thought that only those ridden using an approved hire scheme were legal. Using your own is illegal to use on the road or the pavement. A hit and run on a three year old was widely reported this week. https://metro.co.uk/2021/05/06/boy-3-seriously-hurt-after-e-scooter-rider-hits-him-on-pavement-an...

Re: e-scooters make London even more of a hell-hole
I've got an e-scooter, I use it for work when it's not raining. Cost me less to buy it does than to tax my car for the year and has saved me a load of money in fuel. My commute is only 2 miles and it takes the same amount of time on that than it does to drive and thanks to bus lanes is actually less...
Re: Rats!
I have the same problem. I don’t want to use poison as I’m trying to encourage birds, hedgehogs, etc and keep chickens. In the last couple of years I’ve caught more birds in the humane traps than rats. I have borrowed an air gun, but since I got it the buggers have kept a low profile in daylight ho...

Re: Small, light bike to practice trails
Same question again of what counts as cheap.
My Mrs is still on about selling her derbi terra adventure, if it was up to me I'd keep it but I'm already keeping her other 125 and apparently 5 bikes I don't ride is too many.

I haven't ridden a bike in months
I haven't had a bike trip since the last dragon which was definitely an adventure and I haven't ridden a motorcycle since June I think it was, could've been July actually. But what I have been doing is discovering new things and rediscovering old things as well. I've been walking dogs, shooting air ...
