Re: Daily travel budget in Europe this year ?
To be honest municipal camp sites are between 10 and 15 Euros, and quality supermarket food is only about 20 Euros a day tops. With 70 MPG on a 250 fuel costs are only about 30 euros a day--so 80 euros a day all in suits me.
Re: kove 800
It's about the same weight as a twin cylinder 800cc rally bike from the 80's, it's what bikes in this class should weigh but there are some parts missing and I'd guess this is a pre production bike for testing. I'm not sure but it doesnt appear to have ABS which is going to restrict it in some mark...

Re: Warning light issue and recovery/warranty bigger issue.
If its only traction control and ABS warning but riding ok then I would ride it. However, best consult the interweb for expert opinions. My 2007 Yam WR250R allows you to access the fault codes from the dash, then I check against the crib sheet I carry, and then I can clear them (but they could come ...

Re: BMW R1100RS 1993 46k
Thanks Olaf for the info. I may do the Bol D'or with Karl during sept so we'll see how it pans out. The WR is really a trail bike so good for a trip where there are trails on the way or at the destination. I'm still thinking of a more road oriented middleweight for the longer trips.

Re: BMW R1100RS 1993 46k
Thanks Olaf. Indeed it is--hence the hall effect change due to dodgy wiring--apparently a known problem on the early oilheads. I'm not greedy!---just a reasonable return---Actually went out for a 20 mile or so run on it yesterday and it was below 2C--just to check the brakes after repositioning a ho...

Re: CFMoto 450MT (a 450 twin adv)
That Kove link was for the 800?. I really don't see that its false--my son's 1983 R80 G/S is 168kg DRY!!--and feels like it--especially when most of the weight is low down. The BMW F650 X challenge is about the same so the 450 TWIN CF MT weight is about right (Dry)--its just that most bikes have sim...

Re: CFMoto 450MT (a 450 twin adv)
The chassis looks more of a geodetic structure using smaller diameter tubes. I've seen a video of the engine strip and it looks compact. The weight quoted is "dry"--we'll see when they weigh one!--I also note that they have done the same as the MTO7 and added a couple of cradle tubes to mo...

Re: MALVERN HILLS RALLY 2024
Unfortunately this clashes with the annual March Moon Trail event in Wales which I've already booked--but we'll see. Hopefully a dry spell for a change!
